Mechatronics:

The DSG/S-tronic transmission has many sensors. All these sensors send signals to the mechatronics for processing. The electronic/hydraulic control is managed by the mechatronics unit. The mechatronics is essentially the computer of the DSG/S-tronic transmission. It processes all incoming data. Every sensor you can think of sends signals to the mechatronics, which is controlled both electrically and hydraulically. The mechatronics unit shifts gears and operates the clutch for you, so it is essential that the software and valve housing are free of faults.
